Today, 100 years ago, on June 22,1925, the doors opened to the Monrovia Municipal Plunge for swimmers of all ages. The Plunge closed in 1983 and was reborn as the Monrovia Historical Museum. Museum will be dry and painted for the reopening on June 29th. That according to Mike Andrews of the Monrovia Historical Museum.

It is understood that the plunge was opened 100 years ago. In which year was the plunge accessible to people of color? In what year was the plunge integrated? It is imperative to share the accurate history of the Monrovia Plunge; it represents a significant aspect of Monrovia's history.
