There will be a program on Post Fire Gardening on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 6:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church (Foothill and Myrtle) hosted by the Monrovia Garden Club. Gio Leos of Food ED will discuss wildfire effects, soil and garden contamination from ash, edible garden safety, and fire-safe landscaping (mulch and plant choices).

There will be a Earth Day free shredding event on Saturday, April 26th from 8:00 am - 11:00 am at Seven Gables Real Estate across from Library Park (326 S. Myrtle Ave). Five boxes per family. There is a raffle of two miniature peach trees that were grown by Mt. Sac's horticulture students. I have a handful of Gardening books available as a Lend Library (think Monrovia Little Free Library boxes). Monrovia Garden Club members are welcome!
