City interested in five properties in north Monrovia

The city is negotiating with Cleve B. Crudgington regarding five adjacent properties on Myrtle Avenue, 218, 222, and 228 North Myrtle, along with two small properties located at the rear of the two northernmost properties. There is no indication why the city is interested in these properties. Details.

  1. So the city now is playing at "businessman", posing as a real estate magnate? What is driving this delusion?

Who will be installed in the houses acquired? Illegals? Section 8 renters? How will either work to the overall benefit of Monrovia?

Like the acquisition of the historical house (above, in this newsletter) which immediately encumbers the City to $400K of repairs, plus whatever the "icon" cost to purchase, if the Council members would not put their own money on the line to see a positive return, they cannot be trusted with other people's money. Snap elections and replacement of Council members is necessary...if citizens what the City to remain solvent. If they are too dumb to care about that, Godspeed and good luck, rubes.

One day, you may understand why I left. Or not. Some people are terminally unable to understand stupid ideas. We'll see.
