Dinner at Chicken King Express
Dinner at Chicken King Express, in the little shopping center at the northeast corner of Foothill and Mayflower. Got the White Plate for $12.45, and a soda for $2. Very nice.
Dinner at Rudy’s Mexican Food
Dinner at Rudy’s Mexican Food, at the corner of Myrtle and Colorado. Got the chili relleno combination plate for $12.99 and a beer for $5.99. Very nice.

Valentine’s Lunch at Bella Serra
Had Valentine’s Day lunch at Bella Serra, on the east side of Myrtle, just north of Lemon. Got the Cioppino for $35 and a beer for $7. Very good.

Dinner from Altalia Pizzeria
Dinner from Altalia Pizzeria, in the little shopping center at the corner of Madison and Foothill. Got a medium Spinach White Pizza for the happy hour price of $18.86 and a half order of antipasto salad for $8.05. Plenty for two people and we had both pizza and salad left over. Very good pizza! By the way, this is strictly a takeout place; there’s no seating.

Dinner at TK Cafe Hawaiian Barbecue
Dinner at TK Cafe, the Hawaiian barbecue place in the Vons shopping center at Myrtle and Foothill. Got the Spicy Chicken with Onion for $11.78 and a milk tea for $4.35. There actually are veggies here, they’re just buried under all that chicken. So, very tasty, very good price and I think I actually got about three meals out of it.

Dinner at 38 Degrees, on the south side of Colorado half a block east of Myrtle. Got the taco plate with fish, pork and brisket tacos for $13.50, and a beer for $7. Delicious.

Got dinner from B&C Teriyaki, at the northwest corner of Foothill and Madison. Got the chicken curry bowl for $8.15 and a drink for $2. Nice and reasonable price.

Dinner at Blaze Pizza, in the Vons shopping center at Myrtle and Foothill. Got the Hot Link Signature Pizza for $12.99 and a beer for $6.99. Very good. Very fast.

Dinner at London Gastropub, on the west side of Myrtle south of Lime. Got the Signature Fish and Chips for $19 and a beer at the happy hour price of $5. Very good and filling. Lots of fish.

Dinner at Wendy’s, in the Vons shopping center at Myrtle and Foothill. I wanted something kind of light after the Christmas feasting, so I got the taco salad for $7.99 and a drink for $2.59. Nice.

Dinner at Domenico’s, on the south side of Huntington just east of Magnolia. Got a half order of of cheese ravioli for $14.95 from the 55+ menu and a beer for $7.95. It came with garlic bread and a dinner salad. Nice.

Dinner at Oto Oto Izakaya Japonaise restaurant in the shopping center at the northeast corner of Huntington and Fifth. Off the happy hour menu got the Tonkatsu Ramen for $11.95 and a beer for $3.

Dinner at Casa Jimenez, on South Mountain, near Home Depot. Got the Burrito Rojo for $14.95 and a beer for $6.45. Tasty, filling, and I had plenty to take home. I figure I got two meals out of this.

Dinner at Fatburger, in the shopping center at the northeast corner of Huntington and Fifth. Got the 1000 Island Fatburger for $8.25 and a drink for $3. Nicely grilled. Oops, took a bite before a photo.

Lunch at La Sexy Michelada
Lunch today at La Sexy Michelada, on the north side of Huntington just west of Magnolia. The restaurant seems to specialize in seafood so I got the Mixed Ceviche for $22 and a soft drink for $3.99. Never had ceviche with mayo (in those blue packets) but it was very good - and a lot of it.

Dinner at Kiku Sushi, in the Huntington Oaks Shopping Center. Got the Curry Katsu Rice with chicken for $15.95 and a beer for $6.75. Tasty!

Dinner at Mimi‘s Cafe, at the corner of Mayflower and Huntington. Got the French Quarter Burger for $16.99 and a beer for $7. Very good burger! Even had avocado.

Breakfast at Peach Cafe
Had breakfast recently at the Peach Cafe, on the north side of Colorado near Ivy. Got the Nuts and Bolts for $13.95, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, and bacon (Yum!), and a cup of coffee. All excellent!

Lunch at Taqueria Diablo
Lunch recently at the newly remodeled Taqueria Diablo at the northeast corner of Myrtle and Olive. Got a pork taco for $3 and a watermelon agua fresca for $6. Very tasty, but you should probably order two. And, by the way, the red hot sauce is really hot.
