Lunch at Chicken King

Got lunch to go at Chicken King Express yesterday, in the little shopping area at Foothill and Mayflower. I had the Chicken Tarator with hummus and pickles (or you can get rice instead of pickles) for $9.95.  I’d never had it before. It’s a cold dish and very good - and a lot of it. I’d look at the menu online and call it in to save some time. Here’s the website (https://goo.gl/6VW3mC) and here’s the phone: 305-3111

Dinner at Cafe Jimenez

Dinner at Cafe Jimenez, in the Home Depot shopping area on Mountain. Got the two chili relleno dinner for $10.95 and an iced tea for $2.25. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture before I started eating, so the picture shows a slightly damaged dinner. Anyway, it was just fine and quite filling.

Lunch at Gem City Grill

Had lunch yesterday at Gem City Grill, on the north side of Olive just east of Myrtle. Got a Bacon Cheddar Ranch Sandwich for $7.95 and a beer for $5. Nothing trendy about this place. It’s an old style bar and grill with pool tables but the  sandwich (really a burger) was great. Patty was twice as thick compared to burger patties at most places.
