Mental Evaluation
August 20 at 3:08 a.m., a caller in the 500 block of W. Foothill reported that she was harming herself. Officers arrived and made contact with her. She was transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.

Assault – Suspect Arrested
August 20 at 3:16 a.m., a victim in the 500 block of W. Olive reported a male subject pulling on vehicle door handles charged at him and hit him in the face. Officers arrived and located the subject a short distance away. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
August 20 at 5:59 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Scenic regarding a possible domestic violence investigation. Officers arrived and made contact with the parties involved. An investigation revealed the male and female subject were in a dating relationship and were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. The male subject was found to be the aggressor and was arrested and taken into custody.

Vandalism
August 20 at 9:03 a.m., a resident in the 400 block of Parkrose reported that her mailbox had been broken into. This investigation is continuing.

Trespass–Suspect Arrested
August 21 at 12:21 a.m., an officer patrolling the 1600 block of S. Myrtle saw a suspicious male subject near closed businesses and on private property. The officer made contact with the subject and asked him to leave, the subject refused to comply. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Mental Evaluation
August 21 at 1:15 a.m., a family disturbance was reported in the 1800 block of 8th. Officers arrived and made contact with the parties involved. An investigation revealed one of the subjects was experiencing a mental health crisis. It was determined she was a threat to others. She was transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.

Vehicle Burglary
August 21 at 5:19 p.m., a victim in the 200 block of W. Foothill reported a vehicle burglary. Officers arrived and made contact with a victim. An investigation revealed the victim’s vehicle was broken into and property was taken. This investigation is continuing.

Mental Evaluation
August 21 at 9:27 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 100 block of W. Duarte regarding a disturbance between two subjects. Officers arrived and made contact with the subjects involved. An investigation revealed one of the subjects was suffering from a mental health crisis. He was transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.

Intoxication Arrest – Suspect Arrested
August 21 at 10:34 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 400 block of S. Myrtle regarding a man causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with the subject. An investigation revealed the subject was yelling at people passing by and he was refusing to leave. The subject displayed symptoms of intoxication. An investigation revealed he was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to the MPD jail to be held for a sobering period.

Warrant Arrest / Monrovia Municipal Code – Suspect Arrested
August 22 at 12:21 a.m., while patrolling the 300 block of S. Myrtle an officer saw a subject in a park after hours. A computer search revealed he had warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Commercial Burglary – Suspect Arrested
August 22 at 1:22 p.m., an employee from a business in the 700 block of Royal Oaks reported a burglary. She stole merchandise and fled. Officers responded and located the female subject a short distance away. She was arrested and taken into custody.

Vehicle Burglary
August 22 at 3:32 p.m., a victim in the 600 block of W. Huntington reported his vehicle’s window was broken and property was stolen. This investigation is continuing.

Drug Arrest – Suspect Arrested
August 22 at 6:46 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of S. Mountain regarding a male subject sitting in a vehicle and inhaling a controlled substance. Officers arrived and made contact with the subject. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
August 22 at 6:54 p.m., a disturbance was reported in the area of Palm and Myrtle. Officers arrived and made contact with the subject. It was determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to the MPD jail to be held for a sobering period.

Shoplifting Arrest – Suspect Arrested
August 22 at 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a store in the 500 block of W. Huntington regarding a male subject concealing merchandise. Officers arrived and located the subject outside the store, still in possession of the merchandise. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Driving Under the Influence Arrest – Suspect Arrested
August 23 at 2:04 a.m., while patrolling the area of Myrtle and Foothill officers saw a vehicle in violation of a traffic code. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was contacted. Officers made contact with the driver who displayed symptoms of intoxication. A DUI investigation revealed the driver was under the influence. The driver was arrested and transported to the MPD jail to be held for a sobering period.

Grand Theft Auto
August 23 at 7:48 a.m., a victim in the 200 block of W. Cypress reported his vehicle stolen. This investigation is continuing.

Injury Traffic Collision
August 23 at 5:01 p.m., a traffic collision was reported in the area of Myrtle and Live Oak. Officers arrived and made contact with the parties involved. One of the parties complained of pain.

Warrant Arrest – Suspect Arrested
August 23 at 9:07 p.m., an officer patrolling the 100 block of Los Angeles saw a suspicious vehicle. The driver was contacted and a computer search revealed she had a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and taken into custody.

Arson
August 24 at 1:44 p.m., a brush fire was reported in the 700 block of W. Chestnut. Officers and MFD responded and the fire was extinguished quickly. This investigation is continuing.

August 24 at 1:45 p.m., a caller in the 600 block of W. Huntington reported a brush fire. Officers and MFD responded and extinguished the fire. This investigation is continuing.

Injury Traffic Collision
August 24 at 3:29 p.m., a traffic collision was reported in the 1800 block of 6th. The driver sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. This investigation is continuing.

Fire
August 24 at 5:24 p.m., a vehicle fire was reported in the 900 block of S. Fifth. The vehicle was unoccupied and the fire was extinguished. This investigation is continuing.

Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
August 24 at 6:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of S. Myrtle regarding an intoxicated subject. Officers arrived and located the subject who was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to MPD jail to be held for a sobering period.

Hit and Run Traffic Collision
August 25 at 6:15 a.m., a victim in the area of Fifth and Chestnut discovered her parked vehicle was damaged. This investigation is continuing.

Mental Evaluation
August 25 at 4:02 p.m., a caller in the area of Huntington and Monterey reported a female subject running in and out of traffic. Officers arrived, and the female subject fled in the opposite direction and into traffic. Officers were eventually able to detain her. She was transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.

Injury Traffic Collision
August 25 at 4:15 p.m., a traffic collision was reported in the area of California and Evergreen. Officers arrived and made contact with the parties. One of the parties involved complained of pain.

Hit and Run Traffic Collision
August 25 at 4:25 p.m., a victim in the in the 600 block of W. Huntington reported that he walked outside and discovered someone had hit his parked vehicle. This investigation is continuing.

Theft
August 26 at 9:33 a.m., a caller in the 100 block of W. Foothill reported her wallet was stolen while shopping in a store. This investigation is continuing.

Non-Injury Traffic Collision
August 26 at 12:44 p.m., a traffic collision was reported in the 600 block of W. Huntington. Officers arrived and discovered the solo vehicle collided with a building and caused damage. No injuries were reported.

Theft / Resist Delay – Suspect Arrested
August 26 at 5:13 p.m., a caller in the 700 block of W. Lemon reported seeing an unknown male subject walking out of a garage. Officers arrived and located the subject a short distance away. An investigation revealed he had stolen a bicycle. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Vehicle Burglary
August 26 at 5:29 p.m., a resident in the 1400 block of S. Magnolia reported that someone broke a window to his vehicle and stole property. This investigation is continuing.

Shoplifting
August 26 at 6:03 p.m., a loss prevention officer from a store in the 500 block of W. Huntington reported a shoplifting incident. A male subject stole merchandise and fled without paying. This investigation is continuing.

Petty Theft
August 26 at 8:45 p.m., a resident in the 500 block of W. Huntington reported his bicycle stolen. This investigation is continuing.

Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
August 27 at 1:17 a.m., while patrolling the area of Myrtle and Evergreen, officers saw a subject walking in the middle of the road. Officers made contact with the subject. An investigation revealed he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Attempt Murder
August 27 at 6:18 a.m., Officers responded to the 1000 block of S. Mountain regarding a male subject with a gunshot wound. Officers arrived and made contact with the victim. An investigation revealed the victim had interrupted a commercial burglary in progress. Further investigation determined the location had been housing marijuana and was likely being used as a warehouse for the production of concentrated cannabis, commonly known as “honey oil.” Evidence suggests the burglary and shooting were directly related to the site’s use. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. This investigation is continuing.

Grand Theft Auto
August 27 at 8:24 a.m., a victim in the 800 block of W. Olive reported her vehicle stolen. This investigation is continuing.

Theft – Suspect Arrested
August 27 at 12:24 p.m., a theft was reported in the 1600 block of S. Mountain. Officers arrived and discovered the subject exited the store without paying for merchandise. Officers located the subject. The subject was arrested, cited, and released at the scene.

Hit and Run Traffic Collision
August 27 at 1:00 p.m., a victim in the 700 block of E. Central reported his parked vehicle was hit by a trailer that left without exchanging information. This investigation is continuing.

Injury Traffic Collision
August 27 at 1:59 p.m., a traffic collision was reported in the 200 block of W. Huntington. Officers arrived and made contact with the parties involved. Both parties complained of pain. This investigation is continuing.

Non-Injury Traffic Collision
August 27 at 2:14 p.m., a caller in the 300 block of E. Huntington reported a traffic collision. Officers arrived and made contact with the parties involved. No injuries were reported.
