Canyon Park and Wilderness Preserve openings

At the State of the City meeting tonight officials reported that Canyon Park is about 95% finished, however both the sewer and water lines need pumps, and only Southern California Edison can connect them, and Edison is very busy following the fires that hit the area.

The Wilderness Preserve, however, will likely be open early next week. The city wants to wait until after the predicted rain storms this week, then fix any rutting or other problems caused by the storms before opening the Preserve.

Travis is a fun-loving, affectionate two-year-old Lab/Pit mix who is ready to find his forever home. Weighing around 65 pounds, Travis is the perfect blend of playful energy and cuddly sweetness. Dinner at K-Chicken and Beer

Dinner at K-Chicken and Beer, near the theater on the east side of Myrtle. Got the Rose Tteokbokki (no, I can’t pronounce it, but it contains “rice cake, fish cake, Korean pork sausage, onions & green onions blended in creamy & spicy sauce”) for $20.95 and a happy hour beer for $5.95. Excellent! Loved the spicy sauce.
