Holden Bill Would Add New Technologies To Talent Agency Law

Assemblymember Chris Holden's Talent Agency Scam Prevention Bill, AB 2068, passed the Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee with unanimous, bipartisan support. AB 2068 updates the Talent Scam Prevention Act to include new technologies, such as mobile apps and online services that are not on the internet as websites, to require them not to charge upfront fees or to refuse to remove content at the request of a client.
