Monrovia's Population Non-Explosion | Watch Out for Electric Bill Scam!

~ Monrovia's population as of January 1, 2015 is estimated at 37,406. This is an increase of 227 people or 0.6%.

~ Southern California Edison is warning against exactly the same scam that was attempted against a Monrovia resident ( ). Basically, it is someone pretending to be from SCE who says: "You ran up a big electrical bill and you need to pay it right now!"

  1. I've had several people come to my house over the past few weeks claiming to be affiliated with Edison. Instead of saying that I owe money, they claim that I've been paying a tax on my bill and I'm due something back. I think they're just trying to sell solar or something though, as they are always younger kids that don't look like they'd be Edison employees. Don't know if they're a scam, or just trying to sell me something, but I always just tell them I'm not interested.
