  1. I know that in Southern California the majority of Hispanics come from Mexico; however, our Hispanic population is quite mixed, including lots of people from Central and South America. We also have Cubans, Merengue is an example of them. I hope that next year we would celebrate not only a Mexican holiday (which BTW is not even celebrated in Mexico)but an actual Hispanic holiday where we can recognize their contribution to our society.
