Monrovia Considering a Hotel For Southwest Corner of Huntington and Myrtle

The City Council (wearing its "Successor Agency" hat) will consider at its March 1 meeting asking for qualified developers who could build a hotel at the vacant southwest corner of Myrtle and Huntington. City staff figures an office building wouldn't work at that site. Here's the agenda ( http://goo.gl/LbuhSS ) and the staff report ( http://goo.gl/q6BqkY ).

  1. Is there really enough room there for a hotel? I suggest a Portillo's restaurant!

  3. Brad,
In a slightly unrelated topic, I've heard the multipurpose development west of the new Metro parking structure has been derailed due to contaminated soil. Have you heard any news on this?
