~ Hear a report that Southern California Gas Company plans to install five poles with "wireless data collectors powered by a solar panel system. The data collectors will strictly receive information from the gas meters in the receiving area and will then transmit this information to a billing center. The data collectors do not transmit to the gas meters." Goodbye meter readers, I guess. http://goo.gl/Z4FXz

~ Consider a revised food-truck ordinance. The staff report says, "The main changes associated with the adoption of this ordinance involve the elimination of the prior ban on mobile food vending in Old Town Monrovia and certain other locations, and the elimination of various parking time limits that had been in place under the existing ordinance."
