The Monrovia Historic Preservation Group will host a two-hour walking tour of downtown Monrovia on July 11 at 10 a.m. Cost is $5 per person. Meet at the southeast corner of Palm and Myrtle. Topics include the story of the 1909 Library Park drinking fountain at Myrtle and Lime Avenues - how it was nearly destroyed and how it came to be rebuilt.
