Dinner at Cafe X2O, on the north side of Foothill, just east of Alta Vista. Got the Chicken Shawerma Wrap with baba ghanouj (smoky eggplant sauce) for $15 and a beer for $7. Tasty!

Dinner at Stinkin Crawfish

Dinner at Stinkin’ Crawfish, on the north side of Colorado about a half block east of Myrtle. Got a half pound of shrimp for $12.25, with an egg for $1.75, and coleslaw for $2.95, plus a beer for  $6.75. Messy eating out of the bag, but very good.

Breakfast at Peach Cafe

Had breakfast the other day at Peach Cafe, on the north side of Colorado near Ivy. Got the Nuts and Bolts (three eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, and hash browns or fruit) for $16.25 and a coffee for $3. Always good here. I especially love the bacon.

Dinner at Grindz Poke

Dinner at Grindz Poke, in the Vons shopping center at Foothill and Myrtle. Got a small poke bowl with tuna for $11.95 and a soda for $2.7. Very nice.

Dinner at Copper Still Grill, on the east side of Myrtle, just south of Colorado. Got the Chicken Ranch Wrap for $12, and a beer for $5.50. Nice.

Dinner at Sourdough & Co.

Dinner at the new Sourdough & Co., on the north side of the Vons shopping center at Myrtle and Foothill. Got a small Garlic Pesto Turkey sandwich for $9.99, and made it a meal with a drink and salad for an extra $4.95. Nice sandwich.

Dinner at Basin 141

Dinner at Basin 141, at the corner of Myrtle and Lime. Got the “Pickens” Chicken Sandwich for $17.50 and a beer for $7.50. Yummy good.

Lunch at Grey & Cash

Lunch at the Grey & Cash coffee shop, on the west side of Myrtle just north of Lemon. Got the Jive Turkey sandwich for $15.50 and a latte for $5.50. Very nice!

Dinner at Sushi Kyo

Dinner at the new Sushi Kyo, on the side of the Vons shopping center facing Myrtle. I got the Monrovia Roll for $24.50 and a small Japanese rice beer, Koshihikari Echigo, for $8. Very elegant decor and the food was delicious.

Dinner at Baja Mar Fish Taco

Dinner at Baja Mar Fish Taco, in the little shopping center at Foothill and May. Got the fish taco combo for $11.99 and a soda for $3.49. Very bueno. (Sorry about the picture. I was hungry, forgot to take a picture, and ate one of the two tacos before I remembered.)

Lunch at La Noria

Got a light lunch at La Noria, a taco stand at the corner of Foothill and May. Got a couple little carnitas tacos for $4.25 and a soft drink for $3.25. Quite tasty.

Had a light breakfast at Elements Restaurant and Bar, in the Doubletree Hotel on Huntington. Got the English Muffin Sandwich for $9, and a coffee for $2.95. They also have a buffet for $19.99. Sandwich and service very nice.

Dinner at TK Cafe Hawaiian BBQ

Dinner at TK Cafe Hawaiian BBQ, in the Vons shopping center at the corner of Foothill and Myrtle. Got the mahi-mahi plate for $14.98 and a soda for $1.98. (There are also veggies under the fish.) Nice, and they definitely do not skimp. I’ve got enough for a couple more meals.

Dinner at Tito’s Sandwiches and Empanadas

Dinner at Tito’s Sandwiches and Empanadas, on the south side of Colorado a bit east of Ivy. Got three ground beef empanadas for $2.99 apiece and a soda for $2.99. Good and filling. Two were plenty; I took one home.

Had dinner at T Burgers, on the south side of Foothill just east of Magnolia. Got a chicken gyro for $8.99, and a regular size soda for $3.19. Nice.

Breakfast at Dulce Cielo, in the Aztec Hotel on Foothill at Magnolia. Got the “Golden” bagel sandwich, with bacon, egg, cheddar, and aioli on a jalapeño cheese bagel for $9.75, and a latte for $5.75. Yummy! Kinda tangy.

Had dinner at Sena, on the west side of Myrtle just south of Lime. Got the carnitas tacos for $14 and a beer for $7. Tasty.

Dinner at The State, on the east side of Myrtle near the corner of Lemon. Got the pesto chicken sandwich for $16 and a beer for $8. I enjoyed it.

Dinner at JB Burgers, at the northwest corner of Olive and Myrtle. Got the double cheeseburger combo for  $13.59. Ambience? Not much, but a mighty good burger.

Had dinner at Tacos & Papas, on the east side of Myrtle just north of Lemon. Got a pork birria burrito for $12.75 and a beer for $3.99. I thought birria was always goat, but not so. Tasty and filling.
