Steve Gerischer, owner of Larkspur Garden Design, will discuss adding California native plants to existing gardens at the Monrovia Garden Club's Monday, Oct. 26 meeting. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m., with the program at 7 p.m., in the downstairs event room at Monrovia Community Church, at the corner of Foothill and Myrtle. Guests are welcome.
Gerischer will suggest ways to incorporate natives without tearing out an established garden, including replacing aging shrubs, planting areas without irrigation and replacing patches of struggling lawn. He has designed and installed gardens for more than 40 years.
