Mariposa is ready to flutter her way into your heart! This lovely 5-year-old German Shepherd is equal parts athlete, scholar and professional pool lounger. She knows sit, down, paw and an impressively focused “watch me,” but she’s also happy to put her skills aside for a good game of fetch, a calm wade into the pool or some well-earned pets.
Sweet, affectionate and full of personality, Mariposa has a knack for making friends wherever she goes. Whether she’s gently dropping a toy at your feet for another round of fetch or resting her head in your lap to ask for more affection, this beautiful girl is ready to spread her wings and find a home of her own.
And there’s no better time to adopt — on Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., adoption fees for all available animals at Pasadena Humane will be waived as a part of Clear the Shelters.
The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.
Walk-in adoptions are available every day from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. View photos of adoptable pets at pasadenahumane.org.
New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.
Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email.
