At its next meeting (agenda here) the Monrovia Planning Commission will consider expanding its lower-income housing requirement to be citywide rather than just in high-density areas, such as Station Square, Huntington Drive, and South Myrtle. All new residential developments of five or more units would be required to provide affordable housing or use an approved alternative, unless exempt. The commission will consider recommending that the City Council approve the measure. Details.
