Council to consider $58 million in bonds for facility upgrades, expanding affordable housing requirements

At its Sept. 1 meeting (agenda here), the Monrovia City Council will consider...

~ Issuing up to $58 million in bonds to renovate the Community Center, Fire Station 102 (on Myrtle in south Monrovia), and to improve Recreation Park. Measure K revenue would primarily repay the bonds, with annual debt payments estimated at about $4.3 million through 2045. Details here.

~ Expanding the city’s inclusionary housing requirements to all new residential developments of five or more units, regardless of where they are in town. The previous requirements only related to specific areas of town. Details here.
