Monrovia elementary campuses open to public after school hours

The five Monrovia elementary school campuses will be open to the public during non-school hours. During the school year, campuses are open on weekdays from 6 p.m. until sunset; on non-school days, from sunrise to sunset. Dogs allowed on leash, no alcoholic beverages, no portable BBQs, and no smoking.

  1. This isn’t just the school district being a good neighbor, by the way. Allowing limited public use of these school grounds, through 2030, is required by the agreement under which the City of Monrovia paid $210,000 to help repair the Monrovia High School swimming pool, which as far as I know is completely closed to the public. (See the report linked from the City Council meeting agenda for December 16.)
