Monrovia High Ranked in Top 40 Percent of US High Schools


Monrovia High School has won a place on U.S. News & World Report's 2023-2024 list of Best High Schools, ranking in the top 40% nationally. The school ranked number 2,757 nationally, 417 in California, and 180 among Los Angeles area high schools. The ranking reflects performance in College Readiness, Curriculum Breadth, State Assessment Proficiency and Performance, Underserved Student Achievement, and Graduation Rate.

Funny that you say good Ol' boys club when word has it that Hammond who has been part of that club on city council and now school board is keeping him there along with a couple of others, yet the community of MUSD staff has fled and are unhappy, as are the parents. Turnover of that size is never good in a democratic institution like a school district.

  3. Such incredible stupidity in these comments. None of you said dumb things like this when they announced the same thing a year ago. There are 25,000 high schools in the US. Monrovia is number 2,757 according to the rankings. Stop hating, you just sound dumb.

  4. Actually you sound dumb. Either you work there or are a graduate. By your math that would mean they are in the top 25% and not top 40.

    The fact that it is being celebrated shows how low our expectations for our schools have gotten.
