~ Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, who represents part of Monrovia, asks on his Facebook page for prayer for his two-day-old nephew, Maximilian, and his parents. Maximilian is going to have a stent installed in his heart today. Update: Successful, with a part-two operation later this week.
~ Free mulch! The recent windstorm knocked down a lot of trees and limbs, which have been helpfully ground up into mulch. If you want some, get it on Jan. 21 or 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Recreation Park (600 S. Shamrock next to the Boys & Girls Club). Bring a shovel, containers, gloves and safety glasses.
