Monrovia Council to Consider Making Another House An Historic Landmark


At its Nov. 21 meeting (agenda: https://goo.gl/Y9L2xw) the Monrovia City Council will, among other things, consider making the house at 101 East Greystone Avenue an historic landmark. https://goo.gl/3VD2dN

    Hi Brad, I just wanted to clarify your latest post. The house at 101 E. Greystone is already landmarked. It didn't, however, have a Mills Act contract. Most properties do those two things at the same time, but the previous property owner chose not to. Most likely because they weren't in a position to benefit from the property tax discount a Mills Act Contract provides. Now there is a new property owner, and he has some significant repairs he needs to make to the property, so he would benefit from a Mills Act contract.
