Monrovia Police get $1.031 million grant for communication system upgrade

The Monrovia Police Department has been awarded a $1.031 million grant from Congressman Gil Cisneros to upgrade its dispatch and communication system. The current system is outdated and hinders coordination with nearby public safety agencies.

      Monrovia Police Department radio communications are encrypted using a P25 AES-256 standard

      Monrovia PD other than the Sheriffs and CHP is one of the last analog agencies.
